Greetings to all Epic Systems Group Customers and Clients,
While we are sure that you have undoubtedly been inundated with these types of e-mails in the past few weeks, we just wanted to advise you on our status during the COVID-19 outbreak.
First and foremost, currently, there are no impacts to central station monitoring. Our monitoring service (C.O.P.S. Monitoring) has 6 locations across the country, and they are being proactive in their own response plans. While there are some jurisdictions in other states that have suspended response to certain types of signals, these do not impact any of our customer locations. We have been advised however that there may be a delay in processing on non-critical signals such as AC Loss, low battery, trouble conditions and other minor signals. All Intrusion, Fire, Medical, Panic and critical environmental signals are still being processed in a timely manner.
With regards to our own office; we have infrastructure in place that all key personnel can work remotely from home, with full access to e-mail and phone communications. Some mailings may be delayed in the event of an office shutdown, as well as scanned documents and faxes. Our business hours are currently remaining the same, and our technicians can respond to a service request as needed.
If you need service, please be mindful of your health, and the health of those around you. We are taking steps to ensure that our technicians are kept safe, and that proper precautions are being taken. However, due to numerous shortages of PPE, they do not have masks or gloves. They may ask you to open doors or demonstrate on the keypad / video system etc. the problem that you are experiencing to reduce the amount of unnecessary contact.
